India - national symbols

Yesterday, I wanted to give details of India's national symbols also, but was rather ashamed because I couldn't remember all of them. I looked up the details and here is what I found:

National emblem: Lion of Sarnath

National Pledge:

India is my country. All Indians are my brothers and sisters.

You should provide links to the pages where you got the images... and then people actually CAN check the copyright :)

Good point. That would be easier than going to the source and searching for the photo. Shall try to follow your suggestion.

I did not know the national flower and tree!! BTW one of the biggest banyan trees I have seen is in Florida at Edison's house!! he brought in all kinds of tropical trees & made a garden/grove to figure out a rubber substitute..

well, i got a link to what i was talking about, take a look - this banyan tree is the 2nd largest in the world and covers 1.5 acres. i think the largest is in calcutta somewhere.
