Can you help identify these flowers form Olavipe?

This is 'thumpa'; there is a spider on it.

"Nanthyarvattam'. English name? Botanical name?

Locally this is called 'parijatham'. I don't think that is right.
English name? Botanical name?

    Family : Apocynaceae
    SANSKRIT SYNONYMS
    Nandeevriksha, Khsirika, Ksheeri, Vishnupriya

  4. The parijatham flower, has a pleasant yet a bit stronger fragrance similar to that of Jasmine.

  5. Third one down is a Pseuderanthemum reticulatum known also as yellow veined eranthemum or a golden pseuderanthemum. Very common in the tropics.

  6. The 'nanthyarvattam' is called 'crepe jasmine' in English. Its Botanical name is Tabernaemontana divaricata.
    The last photo is of a Gardenia jasminoides, if I'm not mistaken. Also known as 'Cape Jasmine'.
    They sound very similar, dont they. It must be very confusing when you want to go to a nursery and buy one.

  8. i asked my mil,and she also thinks the last one is parijatham.i didnt know the name,but i love its fragrance.i thought it was in the same family as nanthyarvattam.

  11. In Kerala it is called Manoranjitham,not Parijatham.
    but actually it is
    Gardenia, Cape Jasmine, Gandharaj
    (Gardenia jasminoides.
    Parijatham is Har Singar, coral tree
    or Pavizhamalli in Tamil Nyctanthes
    arbotristis).

  12. The last one is not "Parijatham",it is "Gandha-Rajan". Both this Parijatham and Gandharajan is in my house.

  15. The flower GANDHArajan(?) Parijatham(?) is known as "GARDENIA" in English.
